ABOUT THIS PRODUCT
As the name implies, these were used in battle by the fierce Azande tribe of the Congo. This large piece measures 21” overall. All of the thin copper wire wrapping is gone from the wooden handle and only the imprints left from decades of use remain. The intricate, decorative pattern on the blade is easily visible. The cutting edge is the forward leaning portion of the blade. This is a very well known style to collectors of African edged weapons and this one is an exceptionally well made example in good condition that we estimate dates back at least 100 years.
