Originally designed by British Army Engineers who were stationed at Roorkhee, India, the campaign chair became instantly popular for its simple and practical construction. Instead of just accepting this classic item was good enough, it features several useful enhancements that will be readily apparent with your first use; most notably the way it assembles and the integrated drink holder!
Since the average height of a turn-of-the century British soldier was 5’ 6” this chair sits a bit higher than the originals for increased comfort. Dimensions are as follows; the seat is 18” from the ground and is approximately 18” deep and 18” wide. The armrest is just under 27” from the ground and the height to the top of the seat back is 38.5”. The exotic wood, vegetable tanned leather and solid brass fittings will make this a chair you treasure.
